The upcoming Captain America: Civil War is going to feature a lot of character and this might lead some to feel as if the film is more so an Avengers 2.5 than a Captain America film. Well, if the fact that the title of the film makes sure and points out that this is indeed a Steve Rogers centered film isn’t enough for you, perhaps Chris Evans recent comments while speaking with Disney Twenty-Three (a magazine for D23 Gold Members) will fully ease your mind regarding the matter.

“Even though there are a lot characters, the focus is on Steve and his struggle. Especially his struggle with Tony Stark. It’s exciting to see a guy who’s as optimistic and as selfless as Steve be met with letdown, betrayal, frustration, and selfishness. There are events and people in his life that test him — that challenge him and force him to reevaluate who he is and what he wants out of life.”

As for that struggle, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige added that we have seen it coming. The clues were there. When you watch the other films you see how Captain America and Iron Man fight the bad guys together, back-to-back, but they have differences. And there is something that happens in the world that divides them.” Indeed we have. Let us know what you think about Evans & Fiege’s comments in the section below.
