‘Avengers’ Chris Hemsworth Takes Over Aquaman Role From Jason Momoa In Incredible Image

Avengers: Endgame star Chris Hemsworth dons Jason Momoa’s Aquaman costume in a stunning piece of fan art.

Jason Momoa has always been an excellent choice for the role of Aquaman, but one can only wonder what another megastar could bring to the table as the King of the Seven Seas. A digital artist has envisioned Avengers: Endgame star Chris Hemsworth as Aquaman and he looks incredible. In the fan art by Instagram user “jscomicart,” Chris Hemsworth can be seen sporting the long haircut he had in the first Thor film as opposed to the sleek haircut he’s been rocking since Ragnarok. The Avengers actor is also seen wearing the classic orange and green Aquaman costume, the same one that Jason Momoa had during the third act of James Wan’s Aquaman.

Here’s what Avengers star Chris Hemsworth could look like with Jason Momoa’s Aquaman costume.

It’s hard to imagine we’ll be seeing Chris Hemsworth take over the role of Aquaman from Jason Momoa, especially because the latter is expected to film the sequel to the 2018 box office hit very soon. Beyond that, there’s no way Marvel Studios will let the Avengers star back out of his contract to play a rival superhero. However, if Chris Hemsworth’s stint as Thor doesn’t work out in the next Avengers movies, he sure can give DC a call and see if he can trade Mjolnir and Stormbreaker for another comic book weapon.

Chris Hemsworth was last seen as Thor in the Marvel Studios epic Avengers: Endgame. The Australian actor is set to reprise his role in Thor: Love and Thunder. Directed by Taika Waititi, Love and Thunder will star Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson and Natalie Portman. The film will be based on Jason Aaron’s Mighty Thor comic book run, with Portman’s Jane Foster becoming the new Thor.

Meanwhile, Aquaman 2 is currently in development at Waner Brothers, with Jason Momoa returning as Arthur Curry. Scheduled to be released in theaters on December 16, 2022, Aquaman 2 is being written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, who worked on the first movie. James Wan is expected to return to the director’s chair after he completes a horror project for New Line Cinema. For now, Jason Momoa can be seen as Arthur Curry in Aquaman, which is available on all home media formats. Here’s the official synopsis for the movie:

From Warner Bros. Pictures and director James Wan comes an acition-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, “Aquaman,” starring Jason Momoa in the title role. The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be… a king.

Directed by James Wan, Aquaman stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Orm / Ocean Master, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Ludi Lin as Captain Murk, and Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry.

Stay tuned for the latest news on Jason Momoa’s Aquaman sequel and Chris hemsworth’s next Thor movie.
