Natalie Portman’s Mighty Thor Joins Chris Hemsworth In ‘Thor: Love And Thunder’ Poster

Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman take the spotlight in the cool new concept poster for Thor: Love and Thunder.

Both Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman appear in this stunning concept poster ahead of Thor: Love and Thunder, giving fans a peak of what to expect when the film arrives at the end of 2021. The colorful concept poster takes some obvious cues from the vibrant promotional material that came from Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok. And since Waititi is returning to direct Thor: Love and Thunder, it wouldn’t be surprising to see some more of the same colourful craziness.

The poster created by Instagram artist Jakub Maslowski features Chris Hemsworth in the costume from Thor: The Dark World, with his classic long blonde hair and without the weight he put on during Avengers: Endgame. Meanwhile, Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster is wearing her own Mighty Thor armor, but it’s still easily recognizable as Chris Hemsworth’s costume. Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman are seen alongside Stormbreaker and Mjolnir, Thor’s axe and hammer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Although Captain America took the hammer back to its origins, maybe we’ll see the two Thors with different weapons like how Chris Hemsworth’s Asgardian warrior did at the end of Avengers: Endgame.

Natalie Portman was reportedly disappointed with how Marvel Studios dismissed original The Dark World director Patty Jenkins’ vision for that film before her exit from the project over creative differences. This is believed to have played a part in Natalie Portman leaving the franchise altogether, but her brief role through archival footage in Avengers: Endgame kept her stamp within the Marvel Cinematic Universe as relevant to the ongoing plot, and now that she can step in the role of the new Thor she has an opportunity to have a stronger heroic presence compared to her previous portrayal as Chris Hemsworth’s love interest.

Directed by Taika Waititi, Thor: Love and Thunder stars Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, and Natalie Portman. The film will be based on Jason Aaron’s Mighty Thor comic book run, with Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster set to become the new Thor.

Thor: Love and Thunder opens in theaters on November 5, 2021. Stay tuned for the latest news on Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman and the future of the MCU!
