This awesome artwork depicts Avengers and Thor star Chris Hemsworth with Jason Momoa’s Aquaman costume.

While Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Jason Momoa’s Aquaman exist in two completely separate cinematic universes, fans cannot help but notice similarities between the two iconic characters. While both heroes are the heirs to the throne of an advanced kingdom, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor was perhaps a little too eager to become king and Jason Momoa’s Aquaman was too reluctant to claim his rightful place as King of Atlantis.

Now, Instagram user “jscomicart” has created a new piece that reveals what it would look like if Thor actor Chris Hemsworth took over Jason Momoa’s role as Aquaman. The artwork pictures Thor star Chris Hemsworth in the classic orange and green Aquaman costume that Jason Momoa wore after proving himself worthy of being the King of Atlantis and retrieving the Sacred Trident of Atlan.

You can see what Thor star Chris Hemsworth could look like in Jason Momoa’s Aquaman costume below.

Chris Hemsworth is set to reprise his role as the God of Thunder in the fourth installment of the Thor film series. Directed by Taika Waititi, Thor: Love and Thunder will also star Tessa Thompson and Natalie Portman. The film will be based on Jason Aaron’s Mighty Thor comic book run, with Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster becoming the new Thor.

Meanwhile, Jason Momoa will reprise his role as Arthur Curry in Warner Bros. and DC’s Aquaman sequel. David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick is working on the script for Aquaman 2, with James Wan expected to return to the director’s chair. For now, fans can rewatch Jason Momoa’s first Aquaman film on all home media formats. Here’s the official synopsis:

From Warner Bros. Pictures and director James Wan comes an acition-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, “Aquaman,” starring Jason Momoa in the title role. The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be… a king.

Directed by James Wan, Aquaman stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Orm / Ocean Master, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Ludi Lin as Captain Murk, and Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry.

Aquaman is available on Digital HD, 4K UHD Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack, and DVD while Chris Hemsworth’s Thor: Love and Thunder is scheduled to hit theaters on November 5, 2021. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding Jason Momoa and Chris Hemsworth.
