Captain America: Civil War hits North America tonight where it’s expected to have a massive opening weekend but it’s already doing strong numbers overseas. The film currently has an racked up $261.6M overseas and debuted in Italy on Wednesday with $1.2 million. Early estimates for midnight screenings in China put the film at $2.6M which is the fourth biggest opening night in the country right below Furious 7, Avengers: Age Of Ultron & Transformers: Age Of Extinction.
The Phase Three film is currently looking at what could be the biggest domestic opening for a superhero film to date but just how big currently remains to be seen. Many are predicting that the film could land the second biggest opening of all-time right behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens. How many times do you plan on seeing Captain America: Civil War?
