‘Captain America: Civil War’ Crosses $800M At Worldwide Box Office

Civil War Crosses 800M Box OfficeFollowing bringing in $19.44 million at the domestic box office on Friday, Captain America: Civil War has now brought it’s worldwide total to $807.7M. This makes the film the third highest grossing of the year right behind Zootopia & Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice. However, after this weekend’s business, the Phase Three release will surpass Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice to become the year’s second highest grossing film to date.

While it still has a bit of time before it surpasses that film and Deadpool domestically, it’ll only be a short matter of time before that one happens and it goes on to be the biggest film of the year so far. The film is guaranteed to join the “billion dollar club” but how much higher above that it goes remains to be seen. Could it possibly go on to surpass the $1.4B hauld brought in by Avengers: Age Of Ultron last year? Sound off with your thoughts in the comments section below.

It’s better than Ultron and introduces two very excellent characters, Spiderman and Black Panther. Both characters are more than simply fill-ins and both have their own movies coming in the next 2 years. Personally, Black Panther looks like the most interesting character and could have it’s own 3-movie series, his character is THAT interesting.

Its been out overseas for a couple weeks now and Internationally will be slowing down. It was good but the plot holes and character development we’re too great to overcome.

While I don’t think it will pass Ultron with Angry Birds, X-Men, and Turtles all coming out right away and appealing to the same demographics; that is a spectacular achievement and well deserved nonetheless. That film was simply a joy to watch.
