Clark Gregg Discusses The Possibility Of A Connection Between ‘Agents Of SHIELD’ & ‘Inhumans’ Film

While speaking with Digital Spy, Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. star Clark Gregg discussed the upcoming Inhumans film and whether or not he believes it will connect to their series. While the series first introduced the concept of Inhumans and Terrigenesis to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Gregg doesn’t believe the two pieces of the MCU will connect when the film hits theaters in 2019.

“The Inhumans movie I suspect will be its own cinematic version. That writer and director will have free reign to do what they want to do with the Inhumans. But hopefully there’ll be some way that our Inhumans connect to that. It’d be too bad if that was wasted.”

I’m right there with Gregg when it comes to the part about that being a bit of a wasted opportunity. Fans are hoping to see some of the characters from the series hop over to the films and what film would be better to connect to the series than this? Gregg then commented on how the series isn’t relying on the film because they are doing their own thing in their corner of the MCU.

“What’s kind of necessary for the show to work is that it is its own thing and it’s not dependant upon those crossovers. They’re just fun stuff that happens once in a while. They destroy the organisation our show is named after and we have to deal with that! I’ll be interested to see how it evolves, that crossover stuff.”

Do you hope to see some reference to the events going down in Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. in 2019’s Inhumans? Any characters you’d like to see crossover? Let us know in the comments section below.
