See Colin Farrell As The Penguin For Robert Pattinson’s ‘The Batman’

The design of Colin Farrell in 'The Batman' takes its cues from a surprising version of The Penguin.

A new design pictures Colin Farrell as a completely different version of The Penguin for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman.

Many fans are wondering what Colin Farrell’s Penguin will eventually look like when Robert Pattinson’s The Batman arrives next year. Now, a new concept design imagines the star with a surprisingly different look. Earlier this year, it was reported the star will be wearing prosthetics as part of his performance as The Penguin, but it wasn’t clear what they looked like. But the new design for The Batman takes its cues from the Emperor Penguin character, which fans know isn’t Oswald Cobblepot, but Ignatius Ogilvy.

The new image from digital artist William Gray gives Colin Farrell’s Penguin a slight redesign, going for Emperor Penguin’s slicked back blond hair alongside a slick suit. It seemingly combines Ignatius Ogilvy and Oswald Cobblepot since the throne Farrell sits on comes with the villain’s iconic top hat while he also wears the monacle. Emperor Penguin was a gangster working underneath Cobblepot before commandeering the gang for himself. While it doesn’t seem likely that Ogilvy will be a part of Robert Pattinson’s The Batman, it’s still a great design that is easily recognizable to general audiences as well as comic fans. Hopefully we’ll get a trailer for the film at DC FanDome. Take a look at the art of Colin Farrell below.

What do you think of the new design for Colin Farrell’s Penguin? Are you excited for The Batman? What do you want to see from the trailer? Sound-off in the comments!

Plot details for The Batman are being kept under wraps, but we know that the project will revolve around Robert Pattinson as a younger Bruce Wayne, chronicling Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector. The Batman will also feature the hero making use of his detective skills more than what we’ve seen before in previous iterations of the character. It is also expected to be the first installment in a new Batman trilogy with Pattinson.

Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, the film stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.

The Batman opens in theaters on October 1, 2021. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news regarding Colin Farrell, Robert Pattinson and The Batman universe, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content.
