The CW Developing Supernatural Drama With ‘Stranger Things’ EP

shawn levy stranger things cw epiphanyIt looks as though The CW is looking to capture their fair share of lightning in a bottle by capitalizing on the overwhelming success of Netflix’s hit original series, Stranger Things.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news earlier today as Stranger Things executive producer Shawn Levy is set to develop a brand new psychological drama with The CW. The project is titled Epiphany and is being described as Agatha Christie meets Stanley Kubrick, bringing forth an amalgamation part supernatural and part sleuth.

The premise of Epiphany will center around a group of gifted strangers who are enlisted to a Gilded Age mansion where they must solve a complex code that lies hidden within the confines of the structure’s walls.

Levy is confirmed to executive produce the project under his 21 Laps banner alongside Anna Halberg and Spenser Cohen who will also be writing the script. Lee Toland Krieger will also be serving as an executive producer and be directing the show should the series get picked up for a full order by Warner Bros. Television.

Epiphany currently has no confirmed start or release date. In the meantime, Stranger Things 2 hits Netflix on October 27, 2017.
