The Hollywood Reporter notes that writer Umair Aleem has been hired to pen the script for the film adaptation of Danger Girl.
Rising writer Umair Aleem, who sold the action thriller Kate to Netflix last year, has been hired to write the script for Danger Girl. Produced by Robert Kulzer of Constantin Film, Jeremy Bolt of Bolt Pictures, and Adrian Askarieh of Prime Universe Films, Danger Girl will be adapt the 1990s comic book series of the same name.
Created by artist J. Scott Campbell and writer Andy Hartnell, Danger Girl chronicles the adventures of Abbey Chase, who has been reluctantly recruited into a secret organization where she is paired with operatives Sydney Savage and Natalia Kasstle. The three women then embark on a mission to find a series of mystical objects before the sinister Hammer Syndicate. The comic book series has been described as a mix between Indiana Jones, James Bond, and Charlie’s Angels.
Creators Campbell and Hartnell will serve as executive producers alongside Constantin’s Martin Moszkowicz.
