Marvel and Netflix’s Daredevil premiered back in April of this year and was welcomed with the praise of fans and critical acclamation. The reception of Daredevil was so good that Netflix ordered a second season within 11 days of the premiere. Viewers and critics praised the stunts on social media (particularly the hallway scene in episode 2). All in all, Daredevil left us with the one question all Marvel properties leaves us with, what will they do next?
Recently there have been many rumors of character that will appear in season 2. Electra audition videos were found and then quickly removed on Vimeo. Latino Review reported that Jason Statham was in talks to play Bullseye, but those talks fell through. Numerous websites reported on rumors of The Punisher getting his own Netflix series or being cast in season 2.
All assumptions where put to rest after it was finally announced that Jon Bernthal was cast in season 2 as The Punisher. Many people have wondered how big his role will be. Birth Movies Death even suggested that they should introduce The Punisher as a Villain and it looks like the Showrunner’s took notice.
