Dave Bautista will be joining the cast of Alcon Entertainment’s Blade Runner sequel. The news comes from Bautista himself, he announced the news with a video on his Twitter account. Bautista is best known for his work on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, playing Drax the Destroyer.

Bautista has a full schedule, he will be coming back for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, is starring in The Boss along side Melissa McCarthy and is also working on Kickboxer Vengeance with Jean-Claude Van Damme and Gin Carno.
Bautista is rounding out a cast that already includes Hollywood heavy weights Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling and Robin Wright. The sequel is being helmed by director Denis Villeneuve (Sicario, Prisoners). Production on the sequel is expected to start as early as July. Ridley Scott, the mastermind behind Blade Runner, will be involved with this project as an executive producer on the sequel.
No story details or characters have been released for Blade Runner 2.
