‘Avengers’ Star Dave Bautista Becomes Bane In James Gunn’s ‘The Suicide Squad’ In Cool Fan Art

A stunning piece of fan art for James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad pictures Avengers star Dave Bautista as Batman villain Bane.

While James Gunn currently films his first project in the DC Extended Universe, The Suicide Squad, this stunning concept design transforms Avengers star Dave Bautista into Bane for the supervillain team-up movie. Dave Bautista previously said that he missed out on a DCEU project due to a scheduling conflict, and had even briefly spoken to James Gunn about The Suicide Squad earlier this year.

The artwork from popular digital artist BossLogic transforms Avengers star Dave Bautista and adds Bane’s piped harness that pumps venom into his body to bulk him up before a fight. Dave Bautista also has the character’s iconic black and white mask, presumably ready for his next mission with the Suicide Squad. While it doesn’t seem likely that Dave Bautista will bring the villain to the silver screen anytime soon, the fan art from BossLogic gives fans a good idea of what James Gunn could do with the character for The Suicide Squad.
