Avengers star Dave Bautista trades in his tattoos for a mask and becomes Bane in new artwork for Matt Reeves’ The Batman.
For some time now, Avengers star Dave Bautista has been considered the ideal candidate to play Batman villain Bane in the DC Extended Universe. Of course, the next Batman film from director Matt Reeves is said to feature numerous members of the titular hero’s Rogues’ gallery, although there has been no indication that Bane will be among them.
Nevertheless, several digital artists have taken it upon themselves to show what Avengers star Dave Bautista could look like as Bane on the big screen. A recent piece of fan art from Instagram user Hasan Kazi imagines Avengers star Dave Bautista as Bane while towering over Robert Pattinson’s Dark Knight for Matt Reeves’ The Batman.
Here’s what Avengers: Endgame star Dave Bautista could look like as Bane in Matt Reeves’ The Batman.

Full plot details on The Batman are currently under wraps, but we know that the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and feature a Rogue’ Gallery of villains that includes Catwoman, The Penguin, and The Riddler. The Matt Reeves film will follow Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector and will make use of the Dark Knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC films. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new trilogy from Warner Bros. with Robert Pattinson as Batman.
Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.
The Batman hits theaters on June 25, 2021. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding Avengers star Dave Bautista and the future of the DC Extended Universe.
