Dave Bautista, otherwise known to Marvel fans as the extremely literal alien Drax, wants to switch out his green makeup for a beret and goatee.
Bautista played the villainous henchman Hinx in Bond 24, Spectre. Despite being thrown from a train by Daniel Craig’s James Bond, Bautista wants to return for the currently untitled Bond 25. Bautista spoke about his intent to Metro.co.uk at the Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2 premiere in Europe.
“Believe me we’re talking about it a lot. We’re waiting at home with our fingers crossed. We’re waiting for the news to see if Daniel will sign up for Bond 25, because then there’s a chance that Hinx will come back.”
Craig has been mum so far about whether he’d return for one more Bond, going from saying he’d rather “slash his wrists” than do another one, to admitting he kind of missed it. Bautista himself admits he has no idea what Craig is thinking. “I’m reading the rumours just like everyone else.”
While Bautista’s future as Hinx is uncertain, his adventures as Drax will continue into the foreseeable future, with Guardians Vol. 2, Avengers: Infinity War, and Guardians Vol. 3 all on the horizon.
Guardians of the Galay Vol. 2 opens nationwide May 5th.
10 Things We Would Like To See In ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3’
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is almost upon us, but we’re already talking about what’s next for our favorite ragtag group of cosmic heroes. It’s already been announced that writer/director James Gunn will return for a third outing in the Marvel franchise, with the upcoming sequel getting positive buzz on social media based from early screenings. Gunn commented on Facebook that the third film will “conclude the story of this iteration of the Guardians of the Galaxy, and help catapult both old and new Marvel characters into the next ten years and beyond.” While Phase 4 hasn’t been officially announced, it’s assumed that this third film will be Marvel Studios’ kick-off movie for their next batch of films, most likely eyeing a May 2020 release.
With a third Guardians of the Galaxy film on the horizon, where could they possibly go for the next movie?
