David F. Sandberg Shares All Of Those Hilarious ‘Shazam!’ Memes

Justice League Shazam Zachary LeviLast week, Zachary Levi gave fans the first official photo of the titular hero of the highly-anticipated DC Extended Universe film, Shazam! directed by David F. Sandberg (Annabelle: Creation).

Since then, fans have taken that one image of Shazam taking a sip from his cup and implemented it in countless ways. Most of the time, Shazam is shown to be involved in numerous aspects of the DC Comics universe.

Typically, seeing him with the likes of Batman and Superman is pretty fun, but seeing him eavesdropping while he sips from his cup are certainly a highlight that has become a meme for the DC Comics fans.

Sandberg took to his Instagram to share a collage of dozens of hilarious images concocted by fans who are pretty excited to see Shazam!:

Which of these images in the collage is your favorite? Do you enjoy seeing Shazam with the Justice League? Also, does it blow your mind that it turns out that he was part of Wonder Woman’s WWI team this whole time? Or better yet, he participated in the Invasion of Normandy in Saving Private Ryan?

Are you excited to see Shazam! hit the big screen? Share your thoughts below!

“We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out.  In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard.  Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them!  Can he fly?  Does he have X-ray vision?  Can he shoot lightning out of his hands?  Can he skip his social studies test?  Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child.  But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).”

Directed by David F. Sandberg, Shazam! stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Grace Fulton, Jack Dylan Grazer, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand and Mark Strong as Doctor Sivana.

Shazam! is scheduled to be released in theaters on April 5, 2019.
