‘Arrow’ Star David Ramsey Discusses Potential Green Lantern TV Show

Arrow star David Ramsey recently discussed the challenge of a potential Green Lantern television show.

Fans have been speculating for years that John Diggle would eventually become a Green Lantern as the Arrow version of the comic book Green Lantern John Stewart. Both Arrow and The Flash have scattered plenty of Green Lantern references across the years, from Coast City, Ferris Air and even a brief glimpse of a green pilot’s jacket with a “Jordan” nametag. During the Elseworlds crossover, The Flash of Earth-90 also asked David Ramsay’s John where his ring was, hinting at his Green Lantern persona in the multiverse. But with Arrow ending this season, some fans are theorizing that John Diggle will pick up a Green Lantern ring to expand David Ramsey’s role in the Arrowverse.

Most recently, David Ramsey spoke to ComicBook.com about the possibility of a Green Lantern show and the challenges that would come with that. He also discussed how many times he and Arrow executive consultant Marc Guggenheim have spoken about things relating to a potential Green Lantern role on the show, which proves to the dedicated fans that conversations are happening. Read what David Ramsey had to say on the idea below.

“I cannot tell you how many times. But really, I don’t have to knock on Marc’s door. He’s been incredibly forthright with letting me know the plan, and letting me know some of the politics behind it. Green Lantern is a tremendously large property, and it’s not easily done. If it was done on TV, imagine the cost. So it’s one of those things where it’s going to take a great deal of preparation if and when it’s ever done.”
