DC Comics Artist Based His Superman On Henry Cavill

Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice Henry CavillDC Comics artist Jason Fabok confirmed that his Superman is based on Henry Cavill’s version of the character in the DC Extended Universe films.

Last year, The Royal Canadian Mint unveiled a series of Justice League coins featuring designs by Canadian artists Jason Fabok and Brad Anderson. Now, Fabok has shared the early designs he illustrated for the Cyborg and Superman coin on his official Instagram account, where he confirmed that his version of the Man of Steel is based on Henry Cavill:

“The idea was to draw the characters in my style and not to necessarily draw the actors ( though my superman is always based off of @henrycavill ).”

You can check out the designs in the post below!

Henry Cavill most recently portrayed Superman in Warner Bros.’ Justice League.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Amber Heard, Jeremy Irons, J.K. Simmons, Connie Nielsen, Julian Lewis Jones and Ciarán Hinds.

Justice League is now available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack, and DVD.

Fabok’s Darkseid War is definitely one of the best looking comic books ever, and the story is pretty great too.

I’d say it’s Johns’ Darkseid War but I agree! I’m always waiting for the next comic drawn by Fabok.
