10 DC Comics Characters That Need To Be In Matt Reeves’ Batman Movie

10. Nightwing

Audiences saw Jason Todd’s tattered costume in Batman v Superman, a reference to the classic Death in the Family Storyline, but the first Boy Wonder still hasn’t appeared in the DC Extended Universe. Dick Grayson, who grew up defending Gotham City as Robin before ultimately creating the Nightwing mantle for himself, is one of the most beloved characters in DC Comics. His detective skills are slightly beneath Batman’s, but he’s just as talented a fighter and team leader as the Caped Crusader. In fact, due to Nightwing’s positive personality, many characters in the DC Universe often turn to him when they need help. If Batman needs help on a case, Nightwing is always the first person he turns to because he’s his oldest and most trusted ally.

It’s a good time to be a Nightwing fan. With the new Titans series hitting DC’s upcoming streaming service and the character earning his own live-action movie from The LEGO Batman Movie director Chris McKay, Dick Grayson is about to be more prominent than ever. Since the television version of the character will likely be separate from the film universe, the new Batman film seems like as good a time as any to introduce Nightwing to the general audience.

NO. Wonder Woman and Superman being in a Batman movie (let alone Reeves’ movie) is just plain stupid. Even more stupid are the reasons Nick Kazden states in his commentary below.

A Matt Reeves movie needs to focus on one thing, Batman. 70% of the movie should or screentime should be focused on Batman alone. No Joker, no Harley, no Supes, no Jason Todd. No more wasting screentime on other characters. This is why the Burton/Schumacher/Snyder movies failed.
