Director Gareth Evans has confirmed that he will be going straight into production of a TV show until 2020, pushing Deathstroke back a few years.
Evans, who directed critically acclaimed action film The Raid, responded to a fan’s inquiry regarding his future scheduled by revealing his involvement with the TV show. After 2020, it appears that Evans will be busy developing films in Wales “for the foreseeable future”.
This puts a dent in the hopes of DC fans who expected to see the Batman villain’s solo outing in theaters sooner rather than later. Of course, there is still the chance that Deathstroke may be the villain in Matt Reeves’ The Batman, so fans may get to see the character soon after all.
