Deadpool 2 actor Josh Brolin has just released a new image of himself with Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash behind the scenes of the movie. Whether or not this is meant to tease a celebrity cameo for the movie remains unseen.Brolin took to Instagram to share the image of himself and Slash hanging out behind the scenes of the Deadpool sequel. Brolin clearly filmed a scene shortly before – or after – this picture was taken, since he is still wearing the makeup for his Cable appearance.
Other than how stoked I am that I was born with the absolute largest skull in the Western Hemisphere, next comes the excitement that comes with the uber-talented, scruff mister Slash (and his lovely Meegan) visiting El Sarcastic and I on the set of Deadreservoir. #deadpool #slashisthefuckingman #oldschoolismyschool #ryanreynoldssneezedinhismasktodaywhichevenhethoughtwasdisgusting
Right now, it appears as though Slash just happened to visit the set and Brolin wanted to make sure he enjoyed his stay. Of course, there’s also the chance that the guitarist might make a cameo appearance in the movie, but right now, nothing’s certain – and knowing Deadpool‘s out-there sense of humor, it certainly wouldn’t be too surprising.
Deadpool 2 is gunning for a June 1, 2018 release date. Its cast includes Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson (Deadpool), Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, T. J. Miller as Weasel, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Stefan Kapičić as Piotr Rasputin (Colossus), Zazie Beetz as Neena Thurman (Domino), Josh Brolin as Nathan Summers (Cable), and Jack Kesy as Black Tom Cassidy.
5 Essential Cable Stories To Read Before His Debut In ‘Deadpool 2’
Now that it’s official Josh Brolin will be suiting up as Cable in Deadpool 2, it’s time for everyone to get a crash course on the character so they can say “that’s not how it happened in the comic” when they see the movie with their friends.
Nathan Summers, the future son of Cyclops and Jean Grey, first debuted in 1986, but he didn’t make his full debut as Cable until 1990. Rob Liefeld designed him to be a leader more prone to take action than Xavier and that character trait has persisted throughout his long history. Cable has fought alongside the X-Men in the past as well as fought for mutants survival against the government in a dark future.
Cable is the straight-man to Deadpool’s goofball and I can’t wait to see the two of them come together next year in Deadpool 2. Hopefully Ryan Reynolds and Josh Brolin have the chemistry to bring this legendary bro-mance to the bigscreen, otherwise Fox will be hearing from a lot of angry fans.
