‘Deadpool 2’ Set Photos Show Cable Wearing Intriguing New Suit

deadpool-2-cable-new-suitFilming continues for next year’s Deadpool 2 in Vancouver, Canada. Yesterday, fans got a new look at Josh Brolin, dressed as time-traveling mutant Cable, in action at Vancouver’s Army & Navy store. He was sporting in a skin tight silver costume, pushing a shopping cart loaded with guns through the streets. We speculated that given the look of possibly a VFX- suit, that the images were possibly Cable shortly after arriving in the present day from the future timeline in which he grew up.

Now, thanks to this new tweet courtesy of Just Jared, we have more images of the 49-year-old actor in action with his shopping cart. You can click on the link in the tweet to see more of Brolin’s Cable pushing a shopping cart through a parking lot, loading his pick up truck and possibly getting stopped by the police.

What do you think Cable’s  doing in these images? Are we looking at a pre-VFX of his time-traveling suit? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Directed by David Leitch, the Deadpool sequel stars Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson/Deadpool, Zazie Beetz as Domino, Josh Brolin as Nathan Summers/Cable, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Stefan Kapcic as Piotr Rasputin/Colossus, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa Carlysle, T.J. Miller as Weasel, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al,  and Karan Soni as Dopinder. Julian Dennison, Jack Kesy and Shioli Kutsuna join the cast in undisclosed roles.

Deadpool 2 is currently scheduled to be released in theaters on June 1, 2018. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for even more updates.

5 Essential Cable Stories To Read Before His Debut In ‘Deadpool 2’

Josh Brolin Cable Deadpool 2Now that it’s official Josh Brolin will be suiting up as Cable in Deadpool 2, it’s time for everyone to get a crash course on the character so they can say “that’s not how it happened in the comic” when they see the movie with their friends.

Nathan Summers, the future son of Cyclops and Jean Grey, first debuted in 1986, but he didn’t make his full debut as Cable until 1990. Rob Liefeld designed him to be a leader more prone to take action than Xavier and that character trait has persisted throughout his long history. Cable has fought alongside the X-Men in the past as well as fought for mutants survival against the government in a dark future.

Cable is the straight-man to Deadpool’s goofball and I can’t wait to see the two of them come together next year in Deadpool 2. Hopefully Ryan Reynolds and Josh Brolin have the chemistry to bring this legendary bro-mance to the bigscreen, otherwise Fox will be hearing from a lot of angry fans.
