20th Century Fox was able to breathe new life into their X-Men cinematic universe with the events that occured in 2014’s X-Men: Days Of Future Past. With these “reset”, the studio has been able to clean up their films a bit. They now have a number of projects in development on the big screen that will take place during different time periods which have left a few to wonder how these films will all connect to one another.
So, how exactly will all of these others projects connect with the 1983 set X-Men: Apocalypse? While speaking with JoBlo, producer Simon Kinberg reassured that everything will fit into place in this new post-Days Of Future Past timeline that was created. And surprisingly that includes Fantastic Four.
It is definitely worth noting that these interviews occured before Fantastic Four hit theaters. However, it’s interesting that in the past they had stated that these were seperate entities. It’s also worth noting that producer seemingly confirms that the upcoming Doug Liman directed Gambit film will be set in the present rather than the past in his comments. Will New Mutants take place in the present as well? Let us know what you think about Kinberg’s comments in the section below
