‘Deadpool’ & ‘Stranger Things’ Receive ACE Editing Nominations

The nominees for the 67th ACE Eddie Awards have been announced and Deadpool and Netflix’s Stranger Things have both earned nominations. The awards will be taking place on Friday, Jan. 27.

Deadpool has been nominated within the Best Edited Feature Film (Comedy) category. Stranger Things received two for Best Edited One-Hour Series – Non-Commercial, along with HBO’s latest Westworld.

Deadpool has already garnered attention from the high-level award shows, including the Golden Globes. Reynolds landed in the Best Actor In A Comedy category alongside such contenders as Ryan Gosling, Jonah Hill, Hugh Grant, and Colin Farrell. Deadpool was also nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Comedy. In addition, Deadpool and Suicide Squad are on the shortlisted achievements for best Makeup and Hairstyling with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Also earning nominations included a few Oscar potentials such as La La Land, Manchester by the Sea and Arrival.
