After the success of Marvel’s Netflix series Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage, all eyes are on what comes next. 2017 is going to be a big year for the street-level heroes within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Iron Fist, The Defenders and The Punisher all set to premiere.
Today, we got confirmation that Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page) and Simone Missick (Misty Knight) will appear in The Defenders, and upon the heels of that announcement, it looks like the series has finally begun production. Around New York, production signs for Group Therapy have emerged, and a lucky fan took to Reddit revealing a photo of Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones) on set.
Also, a Twitter user shared a photo of a diner that will be used for Group Therapy. Perhaps Matt Murdock, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Danny Rand will meet together here?

First off, Group Therapy is a great working title for The Defenders. I am particularly reminded of the San Diego Comic-Con teaser in which Stick (Scott Glenn) memorably exclaims, “You think the four of you can save New York? You can’t even save yourselves.” Knowing the development of each character from their own respective shows, seeing such damaged individuals unite to conquer their most significant threat yet will provide a dynamic that is rarely seen in many superhero team ups on screen.
Starring Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, Finn Jones and Sigourney Weaver, all episodes of Marvel’s The Defenders will be available to stream on Netflix in 2017.
