The CW is double downing when it comes to their fall TV lineup and it heavily focuses on comic book properties. The lineup includes The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl. New details are emerging surrounding the second season of Legends and the 5th season of Arrow. Both shows are looking to expand and introduce critical new characters.
Showrunner Wendy Mericle opened up about how City Hall will become a major player within the plot and how the flashbacks from previous seasons will be important within the large scope of the show.
“City Hall, that institution, is crucial to our series. It’s a very good possibility that we’ll finally find out how he got that Bratva tattoo and how he learned to speak Russian. When Oliver says, ‘No one can know my secret’ and he kills that guy in the pilot, we’re going to get some insight into that.”
When it comes to Legends of Tomorrow season one ended with a major character introduction, Hourman (Patrick J. Adams). This is setting up some major crossroads for our favorite characters on the Waverider and is allowing new characters to enter the fold. The new introductions include a ‘Han Solo type’ and a female solider from the 1940s. Showrunner Marc Guggenheim also hinted that this second season would bring about more romantic developments.
