Disney’s Live-Action ‘Dumbo’ Remake Eyeing Eva Green

Disney and Tim Burton's upcoming live action adaptation of 'Dumbo' may be adding actress Eva Green in one of the main roles.

Disney’s trend of adapting some of their classic animated films into live-action interpretations is running well for them. With Cinderella, The Jungle Book, Pete’s Dragon and the upcoming Beauty and the Beast receiving positive critical buzz, more of their library will be given the live-action treatment – one of those titles will involve the flying elephant Dumbo.

This new version of the animated classic will be directed by visionary filmmaker Tim Burton. Now, it looks like Burton may reunite once again with actress Eva Green for this upcoming project. Green is eyed to play one of the three main human roles in the film.

Will Smith was recently approached to join the film, but talks eventually broke down. This would mark Green’s third collaboration with Burton, having worked with him on Dark Shadows and Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.

Production for the live-action Dumbo is expected to begin very soon. What do you guys think of the potential addition of Eva Green to the cast of Tim Burton’s Dumbo? If she joins the cast, what character do you think she would play? Sound off in the comments below and be sure to follow Heroic Hollywood for more updates regarding Dumbo and other live-action Disney adaptations such as Beauty and the Beast, Mulan and The Lion King.

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast will enchant moviegoers when it hits theaters on March 17. You can read our full review of the film here.
