Doctor Strange actress Zara Phythian has been sentenced for eight years for child sex abuse.
Zara Phythian, 37, an actress who appeared in Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in 2016 was charged on 14 counts of sexual activity with a child between 2005 and 2008 along with her husband, martial arts instructor Victor Marke, 59. Together, the couple sexually abused a 13-year-old girl, while Marke also sexually abused a 15-year-old girl on his own.
Zara Phythian will be sent to jail for eight years, while Victor Marke is sentenced for 14 years; four for the abuse of a girl on his own, and the other 10 for the abuse with his wife. Marke was previously charged in 2002 and 2003 for indecently assaulting a child.
In court, one of the victims released the following statement in response to the abuse from the couple:
“You robbed me of my innocence, corrupted me… leaving me unable to create good and balanced relationships.”
