Avengers: Infinity War has to accomplish several tasks. In addition to being its own story, it must also provide payoffs to endings and moments sprinkled throughout other films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that have been leading to this moment. Doctor Strange is one of the newer players to the MCU, with his solo film coming out just in October of 2016, but one Eagle-eyed Reddit user has taken another look at Doctor Strange to see how a scene with The Ancient One may have ties to Infinity War.
In the final scene between Strange and The Ancient One, she states that, in her lifetime, she’s prevented countless terrible futures, but there’s always one tragedy ready to follow the previous one. She didn’t see Stephen Strange’s future, though, just its possibilities, stating that sometimes one must break the rules in order to serve the greater good. You can look back at this conversation here:
And, as was the case in Avengers: Infinity War, Strange stated that he had seen analyzed a whopping 14 million possibilities when it came to Earth’s Mightiest Heroes taking on Thanos, many scenarios that ended in failure and a here one possibility that would garner success. With Thanos effectively wiping out half of the universe with his finger snap, perhaps those remaining will have to break the rules for the greater good of saving the universe and defeating Thanos.
How do you believe the Avengers may indeed break the rule in order to defeat Thanos? Perhaps time travel via the Time Stone? Let us know in the comments below.

The 5 Best (And 5 Worst) Characters In ‘Avengers: Infinity War’
After ten years worth of stories, Avengers: Infinity War is finally here. The 19th entry in the sprawling Marvel saga, things couldn’t be any more different here than they were in the universe’s birthplace: Iron Man. While that movie established a world that superheroes like Captain America and Thor would later join, Iron Man himself was the only superhero in that first movie. Even Colonel Rhodes, originally played by Terrence Howard instead of Don Cheadle, didn’t don his War Machine armor until the next movie, after the Hulk and Abomination had been added to the mix.
While the action and visuals are enjoyable, what truly makes Avengers: Infinity War such an impressive movie are all the characters. Over the last ten years, Kevin Feige and his team over at Marvel Studios have slowly and methodically built out this universe to include a wide roster of heroes and villains. Now, after all the characters have been properly introduced, the world’s mightiest heroes must come together to fight a foe who’s been waiting for them since the end of The Avengers. Unfortunately, not all heroes are created equal and some of these characters came across as disappointing or boring in Infinity War. The movie may have shattered box office records, but that doens’t mean all of the characters come across well at the end of it all.
