Marvel’s latest effort, Doctor Strange, opened in November of last year, and tore up the box office. The film has since gone on to earn $657 million worldwide, as well as receiving a Rotten Tomatoes score of 90%. Not too shabby for a character created in the 1960s, right? The science-fiction flick starred Benedict Cumberbatch as the Sorcerer Supreme, who has since been confirmed to appear in next this year’s Thor: Ragnarok, alongside Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk. This was Marvel Studios’ second film released in 2016, following the third Captain America film, Civil War, which, like Doctor Strange, was a critical and commercial hit.

According to Best Buy, Doctor Strange has now nabbed an official Blu-Ray release date in the US. The film will finally hit stores on February 28, 2017. Not only does the film have a close release date, but Best Buy has unveiled a badass steelbook case, which you can check out below. You can pre-order the Blu-Rays now, but I warn you, they do come with a significant price. The regular Blu-Ray steelbook will cost you $29.99, while the 3D version will cost $34.99:

So, what do you guys think? Will you be forking out the extra couple of dollars for the 3D version, or the regular 2D one? What did you guys think of Doctor Strange? I am desperate to see the movie for a second time, but I am thrilled to hear that my flight home will have the film. You can head over to Best Buy by clicking here.

Awesome, that means it should be available digitally in a few weeks.

    • SAMURAI36

Yeah, it also means it won’t break any records, like these Marvel films typically don’t do when it comes to home video sales. Go Marvel!! ;-p

Don’t need to break records, sammy, cuz their profits are already made during the theatrical run, so the ancillary releases is PURE GRAVY, as opposed to dceu whose breaking even or profits are dependant upon their ancillary market, due to their propensity to underperform theatrically.
I just luv it when you regale us with your feeble displays of spin doctoring.
