Just days after the annual Golden Globe awards, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts has unveiled their list of nominations. Of course, we already know who is up for the Rising Star Award; that list includes Tom Holland (Captain America: Civil War), Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch), Ruth Negga (Loving), Lucas Hedges (Manchester By The Sea) and Laia Costa. But now, the full list has been revealed. Among the nominations is none other than Marvel’s Doctor Strange. The latest MCU movie hit theatres everywhere in November, and brought in $658 million worldwide, and earned a Rotten Tomatoes score of 90%. The movie scored a nomination for Special Visual Effects, alongside fellow-Disney flick, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and The Jungle Book. Speaking of Rogue One, the film also received a nomination for Make Up & Hair, alongside Marvel’s Strange. The Harry Potter spin-off, Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them was also nominated for the award. Surprisingly, Fantastic Beasts landed a nomination for Best British Film as well as Costume Design, the movie has been a huge hit for Warner Bros.

Former Spider-Man star Andrew Garfield continued his Awards-campaign, earning a nomination for Best Actor thanks to his incredible performance in Hacksaw Ridge. His Amazing Spider-Man co-star Emma Stone is among the Best Actress category, alongside Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Arrival‘s Amy Adams. Kick-Ass and Avengers: Age of Ultron star Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Luke Cage star, Mahershala Ali are among those nominated for Best Supporting Actor.
