Released in early November, Marvel’s Doctor Strange transported audiences to a new corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, one that included magic, mysticism and the supernatural. It appears audiences approve of the new direction of the MCU as Box Office Mojo reports that Doctor Strange has crossed into the top 100 highest grossing movies of all-time.
According to Box Office Mojo, Doctor Strange currently holds the 99th spot on the list of top 100 highest grossing films with a domestic intake of $229.2 million and a worldwide total of $657 million. The films joins the top 100 list with fellow MCU entries Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain America: Civil War, Iron Man 3, Avengers: Age of Ultron and The Avengers.

Marvel’s Doctor Strange follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilizing a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe.
Directed by Scott Derrikson, the films stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong, Michael Stuhlbarg, Benjamin Bratt, Scott Adkins, Mads Mikkelsen, and Tilda Swinton.
