Audiences Adore Donald Glover’s Lando In ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’

Donald Glover Lando Calrissian Solo Star Wars StoryIn what is undoubtedly the least surprising news to come out of Solo: A Star Wars Story, the internet has immediately taken to Donald Glover’s portrayal of the iconic character.

Despite the many production problems that the film had most people were sold on the casting of Donald Glover as the younger version of Lando long before the film was released. Now that people have had a chance to see his take on the character, they appear to have liked him more then they would have thought. You can see a few reactions below:

Despite a relatively weak box office opening, most who have seen the film seemed to have been pleasantly surprised by the end product. One of the big standouts of the film, obviously, was Donald Glover’s performance as the Han’s longtime friend. The performance immediately generated talks of giving the character his own film and it seems like the internet just might be behind such a project.

Here is an official plot synopses for the film:

Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in Solo: A Star Wars Story, an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo meets his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and encounters the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes.

Directed by Ron Howard from a script written by Lawrence Kasdan and son Jon Kasdan, the film stars Alden Ehrenreich, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Joonas Suotamo, Paul Bettany and Ian Kenny.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is now in theaters everywhere.
