It was rumored early last month that Edge Of Tomorrow & The Bourne Identity director Doug Liman was in talks to take over on the upcoming Gambit after the film lost it’s director Rupert Wyatt. Following this news, a few other names came into the mix which includes Shane Black, F. Gary Gray & Joe Cornish. Well, it appears Fox might have the director for their upcoming X-Men spinoff. After weeks of negotiations, The Hollywood Reporter is now reporting that Liman is in final negotiations with the studio to helm the film about the kinetic charging mutant hitting theaters next year. I’d say this is a solid choice for the film and I’m excited to see what Liman brings to the table with the film. Let us know what you think in the comments section.
