Disney is moving forward with another film project based on one of their famous theme park attractions, and judging from the talent that’s attached, it’s going to be one to keep your eye out for. Emily Blunt is set to star in Disney’s Jungle Cruise along with Dwayne Johnson, who had previously been attached to the project. Jungle Cruise will be a globe-trotting adventure that takes audiences on a tour through the rivers of the world.
The film will be directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, who has previously worked on films such as Non-Stop, The Shallows and The Commuter. Michael Green, who has screenwriting credits on Logan and Blade Runner 2049, wrote the most recent version of the Jungle Cruise script. Screenwriters J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay wrote an earlier version of the screenplay.
Jungle Cruise is set to begin production in May, while a release date has not yet been made official by Disney.
