Earth-X: Captain Cold’s New Costume Revealed In Arrowverse Crossover Set Photo

This week, we have been getting a lot of great sneak peeks at this year’s two-night four-show Arrowverse crossover, “Crisis on Earth-X,” which is currently shooting now in Vancouver. Earlier this week, we saw the evil Earth-X versions of Supergirl and The Flash in their new costumes, and now today, we have confirmation on the return of a fan favorite character, and he too is sporting some new duds.

Wentworth Miller, who plays Leonard Snart aka Captain Cold on The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow, was spotted on the set of this year’s crossover, which sees the heroes of the Arrowverse unite to face their evil counterparts on Earth-X, a version of Earth where the Nazis took over after winning World War II. In the set photo, Miller is also seen wearing a new coat that is even more similar to his comic book counterpart than his previous costumes.

Snart is visible in the poster for “Crisis on Earth-X” (on the left, just behind Barry), but his name wasn’t featured as the other heroes were, so this confirms that he will be a part of the action.

Leonard Snart died saving his teammates in Season 1 of Legends of Tomorrow, and was briefly brought back as a member of the Legion of Doom in Season 2 before they were defeated by the Waverider crew and Snart was returned to his previous place in the timeline with his memory wiped, presumably to resume his life that will eventually end when he sacrifices himself for the Legends. We’ve already heard that the Captain Cold that will be returning to the DC series will be a much different version of the character than we’ve seen before. With the heroes traveling to Earth-X, where evil reigns, in the Arrowverse crossover this year, I suspect the version of Captain Cold we meet might be the more heroic version of the character, Citizen Cold, as seen in alternate universe stories in the comics, such as Flashpoint. I think that could be a lot of fun.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow stars Caity Lotz as Sara Lance/White Canary, Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/The Atom, Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory/Heatwave, Franz Drameh as Jefferson “Jax” Jackson/Firestorm, Victor Garber as Professor Martin Stein, Nick Zano as Nate Heywood/Citizen Steel, Maisie Richardson-Sellers as Amaya Jiwe/Vixen and Tala Ashe as hacker from the future Zari/Adrianna Tomaz.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow airs Tuesdays at 9/10c on The CW.

10 Heroes We Want To See In ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ Season 3

Previous1 of 12

**This article contains spoilers for the Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 finale.**

The Season 2 Finale for DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (check out my review if you haven’t already) certainly left things off on an interesting note. But now’s the time to look to the future. It’s time to look ahead to Season 3.

Legends showrunner Phil Klemmer recently teased new characters appearing in Season 3. That’s what’s great about this type of show is the ability to regularly swap team members in and out. It helps keep the show fresh. As Klemmer puts it, in this show, “the only thing that has to remain is the Waverider.” The DC universe is packed with awesome characters that would be perfect for an appearance in Legends and this show provides the unique opportunity to introduce DC superheroes and villains from any place and any time. Whether it be the past, as was the case with recurring characters like Jonah Hex or the Justice Society of America, or the future, as we saw with Connor Hawke in Season 1, this show can make it work. So, we thought it would be fun to take a look at some of the characters that could possibly appear on Legends of Tomorrow Season 3.

First, though, a couple of disclaimers. Some of these characters are more likely to actually appear on the show than others, but all of them could work with a little creative writing. Some of these people might have appeared in the Arrowverse before, but not on Legends of Tomorrow (for the most part). Some might make more sense in a one-off appearance while some could work as potential new season-long team members. Finally, I didn’t include any of the characters that are already appearing in the DCEU films.

So, without further adieu, here are the 10 heroes we want to see in Legends of Tomorrow Season 3. Hit the next button below to begin!
