Elektra Could Show Up In Marvel’s ‘The Defenders’

Elektra

Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist are set to have their worlds collide when they come together in Marvel’s The Defenders, and the mini-series is set to start filming within the next week. Naturally, these actors and actresses will be flooding into New York to film their scenes for Netflix.

As well as the core four, we know Sigourney Weaver will be joining the series – but not as a hero, she’ll be the big bad for the crossover event. The first promotional art for The Defenders highlights a big hand, suggesting and hinting that the organization The Hand could be the adversaries the team will come up against. Who is in possession of The Hand? Spoilers: Elektra.

There’s no word on whether Elektra will appear in the crossover – perhaps the cast have purposefully neglected to mention the character – but actress Elodie Yung’s Instagram just revealed she’s in New York. Could this be because she’s gearing up to appear in Marvel and Netflix’s latest venture? It’s too good to not be true!

Of course, this could be a great coincidence, but the storyline from Daredevil Season 2 can’t be ignored. Elektra’s fate has yet to be revealed, so it’d make sense for her story to continue in the next place Daredevil pops up. Elektra is the Black Sky – a source of unknown and unrivaled powers – so she’d make a great antagonist for these street-level heroes.

Marvel’s The Defenders will stream exclusively on Netflix in 2017.
