Ron Howard has revealed that Emilia Clarke has wrapped filming on the currently untitled Han Solo Star Wars film. Howard hasn’t been shy about sharing behind-the-scenes photos and videos on the set of the film through social media. Howard revealed Clarke’s departure from the set by tweeting a selfie of both of them.

It appears that filming is nearing completion as both Donald Glover and Paul Bettany have finished shooting their respective scenes. The film was originally supposed to end production in July under the control of Phil Lord and Chris Miller but since they departed the project, cameras have continued to roll throughout August and September under Ron Howard.
Knowing that Clarke finished her filming after Glover, it would make sense to assume that Clarke’s role in the film is quite substantial. It’s been rumored that she plays an individual named Kira or Kura who might be involved with a museum of sorts. Others have hypothesized that she serves as a love interest for Han Solo, though it’s quite doubtful knowing that Solo’s heart lies with Princess Leia.
Production should be ending soon, which means that we’ll more than likely get a teaser of sorts by the time Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits cinemas in December.
The Untitled Han Solo Film is directed by Ron Howard and stars Alden Ehrenreich as the titular character, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Emilia Clarke as a character rumored to be named Kira, Woody Harrelson as Beckett – Solo’s mentor, Thandie Newton in an undisclosed role, and Joonas Suoatamo as Chewbaca.
Plot details on the film are currently unknown but the film is expected to meet its original release date of May 25th, 2018.
