If you are a fan of La La Land, then you (probably) enjoyed the Golden Globes. The Damien Chazelle-directed flick picked up 7 Golden Globes, winning in every category it was nominated for. The film’s leads, Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Musical/Comedy, and Best Actress in a Musical/Comedy respectively. Stone is well liked around these parts, as the actress brilliantly portrayed Gwen Stacy in both Amazing Spider-Man films; despite the critical reception for the films themselves, Stone’s performance was continuously praised. Of course, Stone’s ex-boyfriend, Andrew Garfield, was nominated for the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Drama last night, but lost out to Manchester By The Sea‘s Casey Affleck. Garfield was nominated for his performance in Mel Gibson’s Hacksaw Ridge. It has been well-documented here, but Stone’s The Croods co-star, Ryan Reynolds, was up for the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Musical/Comedy, thanks to his incredible performance in Deadpool.

At the award show, Garfield and Reynolds sat next to each other, and in a moment of sheer hilarity, the duo kissed as Ryan Gosling picked up the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Musical/Comedy. You can check out Emma Stone’s hilarious reaction below thanks to Entertainment Tonight:

While many would have liked to see Reynolds step on stage, as a huge fan of La La Land, Gosling’s work is deserving of the award. With the Academy Award Nominations around the corner, could we see Reynolds receive a nomination for Deadpool? Probably not. But, it is almost certain that Garfield and Gosling will battle it out for the Best Actor prize at the Oscars. Who did you want to win the Golden Globe? Do you hope to see Gosling or Garfield win the Oscar?
