Evan Peters Discusses His Expanded Role In ‘Apocalypse’; Comments On Character’s Death In ‘Age Of Ultron’

In 2014, we got to see Quicksilver join the X-Men universe in X-Men: Days Of Future Past and the character was without a doubt the film’s standout. However, the character didn’t appear in the film for long and left fans wanting more. Well, according to actor Evan Peters, you’re definitely going to get more as the character will have a much bigger role in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse. While speaking with Collider, Evans discussed what to expect from the character as he has matured a bit.

“He’s kind of matured a bit. He’s gotten into music a little bit. Cleaned it up a little bit. He’s not quite the klepto that he was when you first saw him. He’s kind of chilled out a little bit with that.

He is kind of still this outsider. He’s kind of interacting with them all based on the circumstances.”

Last year, we were also introduced to another version of the character in Avengers: Age Of Ultron. However, the chracter didn’t survive the film’s events, much to to the dismay of fans. It seems Peters was shocked as well and suggested an idea to the outlet in regards to how Marvel Studios could bring the character back.

“They could always bring him back to life somehow or there could be another studio that starts making superhero films and throw Quicksilver in there. I was really confused as to why they killed him. I thought it was really cool. It was a different take on the character, completely different. Scarlet Witch was there and yeah. I was kind of bummed that they killed him.”

In regards to his upcoming sequence that has been teased in the film, Peters commented on whether or not it could top the sequence in Days Of Future Past and told the outlet that  he “was curious to see how they were going to top it and if they could and I think they have. I’m very excited to see it myself. I’m excited for everybody to see it because we’ve been working hard on it.” What do you think about Peters comments?
