A Fan Made Trailer Reimagines A DCEU Movie Taking Place In The 90s

A Fan Made Trailer Reimagines A DCEU Movie Taking Place In The 90s. 'Justice League' will be in theaters on November 17, 2017.

A new fan made trailer combines several films and actors from the 90s to give us what a DCEU film and, in particular, what Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, would look like had it taken place in the 1990s instead of in the present.

YouTube user Frank Ireland (username ChiefBrodyRules) explained that he wanted to “do something different” and mashed up several films together, including Independence Day.

“My main goal was to do something different from other fan trailers. They mostly use the same actors and go too serious. I wanted mine to be fun and match the tone of some of my favorite action movies from the 90s (ArmageddonCon AirIndependence Day).

This was also inspired by Max Landis (Regarding Clark, American Alien). His John Cusack as Superman was a fantastic casting choice and I’m bummed it never happened. Bruce Willis as Batman is totally my idea. Bonfire of the Vanities meets the Jackal. It could of been cool. I’ll probably do a video at some point explaining the other cast members but I think they would’ve been great.”

The result is a nicely made concept trailer, which you can check out below.

What did you think of the trailer? Do you think the 90s mashup looked good? Let us know in the comments below!

The next DCEU film, Justice League, which will have Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Cyborg, and Aquaman join forces, will be hitting theaters on November 17, 2017.
