The Fate of the Furious wins the Friday box office with $11.2 million. The film, the eighth in the Fast and the Furious franchise is expected to remain in the number one spot in its second weekend. The movie has now grossed approximately $160 million domestically and has since opened in more theaters nationwide.
Last week, The Fate of the Furious took in a stunning $532 million globally, beating out Stars Wars: The Force Awakens for the biggest opening of a film worldwide. In China, it took in an impressive $192.1 million alone. After its second weekend at the box office, the film is sure to continue grossing more money globally.
