Ever since AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead was announced, fans wondered about the possibility of a crossover with The Walking Dead. Could these two worlds ever collide? Fear producer Dave Erickson discussed the reasons that a possible crossover between shows is not happening for now.
“As of right now, no, there is no plan. From a narrative perspective, nevermind the geography of it all, I think it would be too difficult to pull off. I don’t think there’s anything, as far as I’ve read in the comic, I don’t think there’s any trackway for that either. It’s such a complicated proposition and I think for the time being, the two shows just need to exist in their own spheres.”
Fear The Walking Dead follows the early stages of the zombie apocalypse in Los Angeles. The same apocalypse that has now fully taken over on The Walking Dead. It has been explained that the shows take place within the same universe but at very different points within the apocalypse timeline.
At San Diego Comic-Con the fist official trailer for the second half of the second season of Fear was released. The trailer shows what has happened to our favorite characters following an explosive and shocking midseason finale that left the group divided.
Fear The Walking Dead stars Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Lorenzo James Henrie, Rubén Blades, Michelle Ang and Colman Domingo. The show will return on AMC on Sunday, August 21, at 9 pm ET.
