First Look At Jason Isaacs In ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ Revealed

Star Trek: Discovery Fuller Entertainment Weekly has revealed the first look at Jason Isaacs as Captain Lorca as the titular ship captain in Star Trek: Discovery.

Plot details on the prequel series are still under wraps, however, Star Trek: Discovery will be a darker, grittier take on the bright and shiny science fiction franchise as it follows Sonequa Martin-Green as First Officer Michael Burnham who serves under Lorca.

The new image not only offers a look at Lorca but gives us a glimpse at the Discovery’s bridge as well. You can check it out below.

The series also stars Michelle Yeoh as Captain Philippa Georgiou, James Frain as Spock’s father, Sarek, Doug Jones as a Starfleet Science Officer and a member of a new alien species, Saru, Anthony Rapp the astrobiologist, fungus expert, and Starfleet Science Officer, Stamets, Rekha Sharma as Commander Landry, security officer of the Starship Discovery, Terry Serpico as Anderson, Maulik Pancholy as Nambue, Chris Obi as T’Kuvma, Shazad Latif as Lieutenant Tyler, Mary Chieffo as L’Rell, Mary Wiseman as Tilly, Rainn Wilson as Harry Mudd, Clare McConnell as Dennas, Damon Runyan as Ujilli, Kenneth Mitchell as Kol as well as Clare McConnell and Damon Runyan as Dennas and Ujilli, leaders in the Klingon Empire.

Star Trek: Discovery is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Secret Hideout, Living Dead Guy Productions, and Roddenberry Entertainment with Alex Kurtzman, Bryan Fuller, Heather Kadin, Gretchen J. Berg, Aaron Harberts, Akiva Goldsman, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth serving as exec producers.

Star Trek: Discovery premieres Sunday, September 24 at 8:30 p.m ET/PT on CBS with the following fourteen episodes set to follow exclusively on the CBS All Access streaming service weekly. The season is set to be released in two halves with the first eight episodes running from September 24 through November 5 followed by the second half picking up in January 2018. CBS All Access is available for $5.99/month.
