Check Out Your First Look At ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’

Kingsman

Kingsman: The Secret Service was one of the most surprising films in recent memory. Based on Mark Millar’s comic book series of the same name, the Matthew Vaughn-helmed film performed extremely well. Starring Colin Firth, Taron Egerton and Samuel L. Jackson; the film went on to gross $414 million worldwide. In addition to its commercial success, the film scored 74% on Rotten Tomatoes, another contributing factor to its remarkable achievement.

Thankfully, we will not have to wait much longer for the upcoming sequel – The Golden Circle – as Entertainment Weekly has revealed our first look at some of the new actors joining the series, including Channing Tatum, Halle Berry and Jeff Bridges. You can check out the new characters below:

The film’s director sat down with Entertainment Weekly to discuss the upcoming sequel, and what – initially – scared him about doing a follow-up:

“Just doing a sequel, you’re kind of violating that promise of originality. Sequelitis is a plague I have no interest in contracting.”

Kingsman star Taron Egerton also touched on the new movie, comparing the first film to Captain America: The First Avenger and The Golden Circle to The Avengers:

“If the first Kingsman was Captain America, then this is very much The Avengers now. For the first one, I felt like if I wasn’t really good then it wouldn’t work. This time, the story still unfolds through my eyes but this is still a true ensemble piece. And also, I’ve had a bit more experience. I’m not asking the crew what every piece of camera equipment does.”

Returning (?) actor, Colin Firth, also chimed in on the new movie and where his character will be… Spoiler for the original; he died:

“I’ve read the rumors, but I can’t reveal if I’m even in this film. I got in the first Kingsman by virtue of my improbability. An actor known for chick flicks as a fighting badass. So given that irony, I’d say anything is possible.”

What do you guys think? Are you excited for the upcoming Kingsman sequel? Were you a fan of Vaughn’s original?

Kingsman: The Golden Circle hits theatres everywhere on September 29th, 2017.

10 Actors Who Could Portray Nightwing In His Standalone Film

Previous1 of 11

Nightwing
Dick Grayson is one of the most iconic characters in the DC universe. Since the character’s debut in 1940, Grayson aka Robin went on to become Nightwing and also stepped into the shoes of Batman, when Bruce Wayne was rumored to be dead. Despite his comics status, the character has had a rather difficult time on-screen. Apart from the early movie serials, and the iconic 1960s Batman TV show, Grayson has struggled to appear on screen as a serious film character. His portrayal by Chris O’Donnell in Joel Schumacher’s Batman Forever and Batman & Robin was met with a mixed, to negative response from critics and fans. Ironically, the only Grayson performance that has been rather well received was Michael Cera’s performance in this month’s animated comedy, The LEGO Batman Movie.

Following the success of that film, it was revealed that Chris McKay (director of The LEGO Batman Movie) would helm a live-action Nightwing film, set within the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). Previously, Grayson was set to appear on TNT’s Titans TV show, before that seemed to be cancelled. With a new film based on the character in the works, it left us over at Heroic Hollywood wondering; who could play this iconic role?

By clicking Next, you can check out 10 actors who, we believe, could bring this iconic role to life in a pretty badass way. Shall we begin?
