First Official Trailer For ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Released

Thor RagnarokFinally! After months, and months of waiting, we have our first official trailer for Thor: Ragnarok. The third entry in the franchise, this films pits the God of Thunder up agaisnt his toughest foe yet, Hela – portrayed by Cate Blanchett. Thor is not alone, however. Joining him on this wild adventure is fellow Avenger, Bruce Banner – better known as The Incredible Hulk. The film is directed by What We Do In The Shadows‘ Taika Waititi, and his style is all over this awesome trailer.

Imprisoned on the other side of the universe, the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth) finds himself in a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), his former ally and fellow Avenger. Thor’s quest for survival leads him in a race against time to prevent the all-powerful Hela (Cate Blanchett) from destroying his home world and the Asgardian civilization.

The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Cate Blanchett, Tom Hiddleston, Tessa Thompson, Idris Elba, Karl Urban, Anthony Hopkins, and Jeff Goldblum.

They have been building upon their established universe and characters for close to ten years now and next year it will all come together in Avengers: Infinity War. A huge event that will shake the core of the universe, but before that the universe is set to have something a little bit different be released. The third entry in the Thor series titled, Thor: Ragnarok, is set to be released in November of this year and with it comes a bit of a diversion from the norm. A lot of the news, images, and information about the film seems to highlight that it will be different from a lot of what the MCU has been doing.  The unique qualities are present in multiple areas so without further delay here are 7 reasons why Thor: Ragnarok will be a unique entry in the MCU.
