First Trailer For ‘Rampage’ Rated, Expected To Drop In The Next Week

Rampage LogoIt’s been reported that the first trailer for Rampage, starring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, has been rated by the Manitoba Film Classification Board on Thursday night. With Justice League dropping next week, you can chalk that up to impeccable timing by Warner Bros.

The Brad Peyton adaptation of the late-’80s video game is now expected to drop in the next week and could potentially be placed with Justice League. Production on the film wrapped in July and fans may only be days away before seeing The Rock star alongside several giant beasts.

You can read the synopsis for Rampage below:

Primatologist Davis Okoye (Johnson), a man who keeps people at a distance, shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth. But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry transforms this gentle ape into a raging monster. To make matters worse, it’s soon discovered there are other similarly altered alpha predators. As these newly created monsters tear across North America, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer to secure an antidote, fighting his way through an ever-changing battlefield, not only to halt a global catastrophe but to save the fearsome creature that was once his friend.

Directed by Peyton, Rampage also stars Naomie Harris, Joe Manganiello, Marley Shelton, Jake Lacy, Breanne Hil, P.J. Byrne, Jack Quaid, Matt Gerald, Malin Akerman and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

Rampage will be released in theaters on April 20, 2018.
