‘The Flash’ Casts David Dastmalchian As Abra Kadabra

The Flash Abra KadabraThe Flash will be bringing another iconic villain to life this season as DC Comics announced today that David Dastmalchian (Gotham, The Dark Knight) has been tapped to bring Abra Kadabra to life in the third season. DC Comics describe the CW version of the character as follows:

“Described as a criminal from a distant future whose advanced technological powers seem like magic, the time-traveling Abra Kadabra (David Dastmalchian) holds a secret the Flash will stop at nothing to uncover.”

It wasn’t revealed in what episode he will show up in, but it seems likely that it will be after episode 17 which is the second part to the upcoming musical crossover with Supergirl that starts on Monday, March 20.

“The Wrath of Savitar” — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, V) (HDTV)

SAVITAR VISITS WALLY – While training with Barry (Grant Gustin), Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) starts to have visions of Savitar, which he hides from the team. A dangerous secret threatens Barry and Iris’ (Candice Patton) happiness. Alexandra La Roche directed the episode written by Andrew Kreisberg & Andrew Wilder (#315). Original airdate 3/7/2017.”
