New ‘The Flash’ Season 4 Extended Trailer Released

The Flash

The CW has released a brand new extended trailer for the upcoming fourth season of The Flash.

There are a lot of great beats in this new Season 4 trailer. We get to see how the team is coping in Barry Allen’s (Grant Gustin) absence since he entered the Speed Force in the Season 3 Finale, with Iris West (Candice Patton) refusing to give up on him while Joe (Jesse L. Martin) suggests that they should allow themselves to grieve. We also see that Iris has taken on a leadership position in Team Flash, and that Wally/Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale) and Cisco/Vibe (Carlos Valdes) are holding things down in Central City without the Scarlett Speedster, facing off with a new Samurai villain, Baron Katana. We even get to briefly see Vibe take on Peek-A-Boo (Britne Oldford), who we haven’t seen in a little while. Finally, we see Team Flash attempting to bring Barry back, but when he does finally return (without their help, it appears), he seems a little bit off. The trailer also teases the Flash’s new suit (which will presumably look just like the future Barry’s suit in Season 3), but we do not get to see Barry try it on just yet.

Check the trailer out below:

The Flash stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon/Vibe, Tom Cavanagh as Harrison Wells, Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West and Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West/Kid Flash. Here is the official synopsis:

Running up against an evil time remnant version of yourself is something no one should ever have to do, but that’s exactly what faced Barry Allen (aka The Flash) as he fought to save the life of fiancée Iris West from the God of Speed known as Savitar. Barry’s victory was short-lived, however, as an unbalanced Speed Force began to wreak havoc on Central City, forcing Barry to sacrifice himself for the greater good. With The Fastest Man Alive now trapped inside an extra-dimensional energy, and unknown dangers lurking in the shadows, it will be up to Team Flash to free Barry from his own personal Hell.

The Flash returns for its fourth season on October 10th at 8/9c on The CW.
