If you’ve been keeping up with The Flash, then you know Barry has been put on trial for the murder of Clifford DeVoe, a.k.a. The Thinker. The mid-season finale concluded with a cliffhanger as Barry was arrested by authorities who were unaware that the highly-intelligent villain had switched bodies with a younger man. And who will be prosecuting Barry? None other than former Human Target Mark Valley, who has been cast as prosecutor Anton Slater, who famously put the “Scarlet Speedster” on trial in the comic books.
Valley is no stranger to the DC TV universe having starred as Christopher Chance, a bodyguard who protected his clients by secretly infiltrating their lives, from 2010 to 2011. He is also well-versed in courtroom drama, having starred on Boston Legal from 2014 to 2007. When The Flash returns with “The Trial of the Flash” later this month, we can assume from the image above that Valley’s Slater will have some damning evidence to throw at Barry, leaving Iris and Joe to wonder how far they are willing to go to keep Barry out of Irongate.
